Hour 1 C.J. and 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis filling in for Sandy Clough and Brandon Stokley. C.J. and Mike kicked off the show talking about the Bronco’s quarterbacks. C.J. throws out the question to Mike, did he see after the Super Bowl, the Bronco’s ending up with these three quarterbacks Sanchez, Lynch, and Siemian? Mike Klis gives his opinion that he would have wondered where Brock Osweiler was. C.J. thinks the Broncos would have made more moves and had more options.

They then go into the rest of the NFL draft and Bronco’s roster. Are the Broncos better or worse this season? C.J. and Mike Klis analyze the 2016-2017 Broncos. Mike Klis makes the point that the Broncos should be better up front on the offensive line this season. He also talks about how the Broncos should be just as good on defense. However, Klis points out the one question mark is at quarterback. C.J. and Mike wrap up the hour debating the quarterback battle last year compared to this year. Peyton Manning/Brock Osweiler vs. Mark Sanchez/Paxton Lynch. Which one was a better situation?

C.J. and Stokley then dive back into more football talk. C.J. throws out the question to Mike Klis, can the Broncos win with Mark Sanchez at quarterback? Based off of history most would say no. Mike Klis and C.J. point to how Mark Sanchez will need to clean up all of his turnovers. They say if Sanchez cleans up his game maybe the Broncos can manage their way to another playoff run. That mixed with the Broncos running the football and mixing things up offensively. The guys also start to talk about when Paxton Lynch might see the field. Mike Klis thinks it’ll depend on when and how Lynch can handle the speed of the game.

At the end of the hour, DU head lacrosse coach Bill Tierney joined C.J. and Mike. Bill talks about growing the game of lacrosse and how he thinks his team has played this year. Listen to the full interview HERE.

C.J. and Mike Klis weighs in on Colin Kaepernick as a player in the locker room. The fellas look at how Mark Sanchez has already bonded with many players in the locker room.

Former NFL safety now with ESPN Brian Dawkins joined C.J. and Mike Klis. Brian reacts to some of the players taken in the NFL draft by the Bronco’s. The guys wrap up the show talked about rookies that might make a difference this year for Denver. While there’s a chance Paxton Lynch might make an impact, Mike Klis sees other rookies making an impact first. The first rookie is fullback Andy Janovich. Klis sees him getting a lot of playing time in a Gary Kubiak offense. Another rookie is safety Justin Simmons. Denver does have two starters already at safety but Simmons will serve as depth in a backup role.
