Schlereth & Evans – 5/4/16 – Wednesday’s show focuses a lot on the Denver Broncos’ chances to repeat as Super Bowl Champions and all that must happen in order for that dream to once again become reality. The guys also spend sometime talking Rockies baseball and the current slide the team is on. ESPN’s Louis Riddick and Root Sports’ Drew Goodman both visit with the guys to talk Broncos and Rockies respectively.

Hour One begins with Stink and Mike chatting about some of the odds just released on the Broncos’ chances of repeating this next season as Super Bowl Champions.

Our buddy Drew Goodman from Root Sports then joins the guys to talk the up and down season the Rockies have had so far. They dive into Jon Gray and his progression into a solid starting pitcher, the total lack of respect being shown to Nolan Arenado and how taking credit from a player just because his home field is Coors Field is just plain lazy journalism. Listen to Drew’s very poignant comments with the guys HERE!

The back half of the first hour closed with the Morning Brew where the fellas discussed Von Miller’s exit from DWTS, the Rockies second loss in a row, updates from the NBA playoffs and Jordan Spieth’s comments on losing The Masters last month.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!

The second hour leads off with Stink’s “Clear The Air” segment where he lets the national media know just how fed up he is with their lazy journalism and the continuous disrespect Rockies players receive due to playing in Coors Field. Listen to Stink let the big media guys have it BELOW:

Louis Riddick from ESPN then hops on with the guys to discuss the latest news surrounding the Denver Broncos including his impressions of the Broncos moving up to get Paxton Lynch, how impressed he was with the defense carrying the team to a Super Bowl victory and if he believes the Broncos are the favorites in the AFC to get back to the Super Bowl. Listen to the conversation with Louis HERE!

The middle hour wrapped with 4 Down Territory where the guys talked about comments made by a Bears LB calling Aaron Rodgers arrogant, Peyton Manning turning down TV offers and the NY Giants GM defending their first round pick of CB Eli Apple.

Hour Three kicks off with a more in-depth conversation about the Broncos chances to repeat as World Champions and even more specifically than that where they think the team ranks among the top AFC contenders.

Mark and Mike then talk about the difference between having a good QB that can turn into a good athlete versus having a good athlete that you try and turn into a good QB. Stink says the latter of the two is a recipe for failure in the NFL today.

The last part of the final hour heard the guys jump more into what they are calling “lazy national commentary.” They discuss this in reference to both the Broncos having the 9th best odds to win the SB as well as the laziness of national baseball writers and analysts discrediting studs like Nolan Arenado because they believe all of the credit belongs to Coors Field.
