Listen to hour 1 here!

Hour 1 C.J. filling in for Sandy Clough with Brandon Stokley in studio. C.J. and Stokley start the show previewing their guests and Rockies’ pitcher Tyler Chatwood continuing his hot start to the season.

C.J. and Stokley discuss Von Miller commenting at a local appearance to The Denver Post that “The contract is going to take care of itself. I’m going to be a Denver Bronco for life.” C.J. and Stokley debate whether or not Von Miller will be a Bronco for life. Brandon Stokley thinks Von Miller is being somewhat naive by saying that. C.J. and Stokley do agree though that Von Miller deserves to be rewarded with a huge contract. C.J. also points out that compared to other players Von has had to prove himself on and off the field. C.J. and Stokley throw out the question, is Von Miller worth a huge contract? Both C.J. and Stokley agree but not all of their callers do.

C.J. and Stokley analyze other players that were handed huge contracts. Would Von Millers production fall off if he signed a big deal? The fellas debate the ramifications of a big contract. Plus, who has all the leverage in contract negotiations in the NFL? C.J. and Stokley say it’s the owners and franchises.

Hour 2 C.J. and Stokley talk more about contract negotiations. C.J. and Stokley look at whether fans root for the players or their teams in contract negotiations. Most fans side with their teams. Brandon Stokley looks at the opposing argument and is surprised the fans don’t side with the players. Brandon Stokley thinks fan support should be the other way around because if they were to flip sides, they would want the big contract.

The guys look more into how the fans look at players and contract situations. Should the fans be loyal? Or should the players be more loyal?

Mike Sando from ESPN.com joined C.J. and Brandon Stokley. Mike goes into his latest article about the Broncos. Mike’s latest article is about below average quarterback play. Mike asks the question can the Broncos repeat with Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch? Mike likes to point out that Peyton Manning played below average last year but was still a great leader and presence. Hour 3 C.J. and Stokley kick off the final hour once again analyzing the relationship between players and fans. The fellas take some more calls and reactions to the subject. One caller makes the point that the difference between football and other sports is the parody in the football because of the salary cap. Other callers agree with Brandon Stokley and say that the fans should be rooting for the players to get new contracts because of the beating they take over their careers.

ESPN MLB Insider Pedro Gomez joined C.J. and Stokley to talk about the Rockies. Pedro discusses how the Rockies have hung atop the N.L. West into May now. Pedro weighs in on the Rockies starting rotation and gives his opinion on if they can withstand a full season this year. Pedro also talks about third baseman Nolan Arenado and his perception around the league. Listen to the full interview HERE.

C.J. and Stokley wrap up the show talking about player contracts and the fans perception of them. The opinion stayed almost split down the middle. Some think Von should get payed and others think he should just sign the franchise tender.
