The Drive 5/20/16 – Mike Klis sits in for Big Al on Friday’s episode of the show. He and D-Mac discuss the rumors of the Broncos reaching out to Arian Foster. They are joined by CJ Anderson and get his reaction to Devontae Booker’s comments as well as get the inside scoop on CJ’s bowling career. Also Joining them is Jake McGee, closing pitcher for the Rockies, and the guys get his thoughts on
The Drive starts with D-Mac and Mike Klis filling in for Big Al. They talk about the rumors that the Broncos are reaching out to Arian Foster for a potential offer. The conversation shifts to where Foster would fit in with the Broncos, as well as some discussion on the shelf-life of running backs.
The fellas are joined by CJ Anderson and they ask him about his professional bowling career. They get his reaction to the comments Devontae Booker made about trying to steal someone’s job. For the Big Three at 3:30 The guys have conversations about the Broncos reaching out to Arian Foster, which former local head coaches deserve a second chance, Mark Sanchez’s thumb injury, and the move of the NFL Pro Bowl to Orlando.

For Football at Four D-Mac and Mike Klis reflect on Brock Oswieler and dive into the context for his decision to sign with the Houston Texans. They talk about the differences between Bill O’Brien’s offense compared to Gary Kubiak’s offense, and why Oswieler said he was a better fit for the former.
The topic changes to Christian McCaffrey and how his family has taken to fighting off the narrative that Christian’s success is a result of his bloodline as opposed to his hard work. They chat about where McCaffrey will be taken in the draft when he makes the leap to the NFL.
The guys go over NFL.com’s Under 25 Team, and discuss which Broncos were left off of the list. They agree that Brandon McManus is a better kicker than Cario Santos. They go over some of the other players that should have been included on the list.
The topic at the top of the final hour of the show is Broncos who had gotten into trouble with the NFL due to substance abuse. This leads D-Mac to relive some of his experiences with former Bronco DJ Williams. The conversation continues as they bring up Peyton Manning, and how the way he kept himself out of trouble is something all players should look to emulate. They reflected on the the 2009-2010 Broncos and how things developed for Denver under Josh McDaniels. They say that the drafting of Von Miller marked the start Broncos’ road to the Suberbowl.
The Closing Bell takes place halfway through the hour and trending up it’s Mark Cuban’s opinion of himself after saying that he’d be the vice president for Hillary Clinton for D-Mac. Klis has LeBron James trending up after coming through on his prediction that the Cleveland Cavaliers sweep the NBA playoffs through the first ten games. Trending down is Devontae Booker’s chances of avoiding pad carrying after the comments he made for D-Mac. Klis has Tom Brady trending down after being listed in the top five most hated players of all time by SportingNews.com.
The guys close the show talking about Baseball and how it compares to the NFL. D-Mac makes the point the Football is better for broadcasting because the short season makes every game feel like a must win.
