Sandy and Stokley – 05/20/2016 – Stokley is back  with Ryan Edwards filling in for Sandy Clough at the Blake Street Tavern. The guys talk with former linebacker D.J. Wiliams and Matt Moore from CBS Sports. They discuss Arian Foster possibly coming to the Broncos, rookie Devontae Booker and his comments and Mark Sanchez thumb surgery. The guys also talk about Brock Osweilers Q and A and who the best division in the NFL is right now.

Hour one starts out with an interview with former linebacker D.J. Williams and what his plans are for the future in broadcasting. The guys talk about what his transition is like coming out of the league. Williams and Stokley both attended The NFL Boot Camp, they talk about their experience and what they liked about it. To end the interview they discussed which type of media platform they preferred, radio and TV. Listen to the interview HERE!

Following the interview the guys talk about if former Texans running back Arian Foster would be a good fit with the Broncos. The Broncos have a few running backs already on the roster but discuss that having Foster wouldn’t be a bad idea.

To wrap things up in hour one they talk about rookie Devontae Booker’s comment, “I’m not there to carry pads, I’m there to take someone’s job.” Stokley discusses what he would have done if they were in the locker room and Ryan Edwards also makes a comment on the topic.

In hour two they start off with discussing comments made by former Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler, “I was not concerned one bit about playing in their shadow.” The guys talked about the Denver fan base perspective and who was at fault for him leaving the Broncos and going to the Texans.

After talking football the guys move to basketball with an interview with Matt Moore from CBS Sports. They discuss how the Raptors haven’t been playing as well as of late and are struggling. They talk about how they can’t continue do this during the playoffs or it’s not going to go well. Matt Moore weighs in on who he thinks will win. Listen to the interview HERE!

To wrap things up in hour two they guys talk about Mark Sanchez and how something is always wrong with him. They discuss how clumsy he is and how it lead to his new injury to his thumb.They end the segment talking about Paxton Lynch adjusting to the NFL.

In hour three the guys start out with the benefits of working out in the weight room, Stokley talks about how he took advantage of the weight room. Brandon Stokley goes into how he prepared in the off-season in his playing days. Brandon and Ryan look at how players today get ready and in shape.

Majority of the hour the guys discuss what division in the NFL is the best in the league. Ryan Edwards and Brandon Stokley go through each division including the AFC West. A number of divisions are brought up as far as being the best. End of the show the guys go through each team in the AFC West and what threat they pose to the Broncos. Brandon Stokley and Ryan Edwards surprisingly bring up a team that hasn’t been atop the AFC West in quite some time. Plus, how many wins and what the expectations should be for Denver in 2016-2017.
