Sandy and Stokley – 05/25/2016 – Ryan Edwards filling in for Sandy Clough along side Brandon Stokley in studio. The guys talk about OTAs continuing at Dove Valley, comments made recently by John Elway, the Rockies losing bad to the Red Sox and the Thunder beating the Warriors last night. Also, Ryan and Brandon debate whether there is an ongoing open quarterback battle at Dove Valley and who will come out on top. Former NFL GM Phil Savage who is now with ESPN joined the show in the first hour.

Hour one Ryan and Brandon talk about day 1 of OTAs yesterday. The guys discuss quarterback Mark Sanchez throwing an interception on his second pass of OTAs.

Former NFL GM now with ESPN Phil Savage joined the show to discuss the NFL. Phil breaks down the Broncos offense and defense. Plus, Phil weighs in on why he would have taken quarterback Carson Wentz first overall in this year’s draft. Listen to the full interview HERE!

Ryan and Brandon wrap up the first hour discussing whether or not it’s a wide open quarterback battle this off-season. The main conversation revolves around Mark Sanchez and rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch. Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is also brought up.

Hour two the fellas break down the Warriors falling to the Thunder last night and falling behind in the Western Conference Finals three games to one. Ryan and Brandon go into Warriors guard Stephen Curry disappearing in the 4th quarter and why the Thunder have been so effective this series.

The Rockies dropped another game last night in Boston to the Red Sox. Starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa was once again beaten and showed to be ineffective. The guys discuss what the Rockies should do with De La Rosa at this point of the season.

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson this off-season had a unique way of staying in shape. Ryan and Brandon talk about that activity C.J. Anderson did and other sports that Brandon Stokley did to stay in shape when he was playing.

Hour three kicks off with Ryan and Brandon talking about defensive lineman Adam Gotsis reaching agreeing to his rookie deal with the Broncos. The guys look at the state of the defensive line for the Broncos and if Gotsis will produce his rookie year.

Ryan and Brandon bring back comments made by Phil Savage earlier on in the program about the Ravens changing their offense a number of years back.The guys go into what the Broncos should do with their offense this season.

At the end of the show the guys reset comments made by Broncos GM John Elway recently as a part of a Q&A with Bleacher Report. Ryan and Brandon discuss the meaning behind some of Elway’s comments and if it was Elway taking a shot at San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
