Sandy Clough – 8/2/2016 – Sandy Clough is live back in studio today to talk about the first 5 days of Broncos training camp, guys who have stood out, who needs to step up, and who might be on the outside looking in once the season starts. The Rockies are finally back home for an 8 game homestand versus the Dodgers, Marlins, and Rangers. The Rockies have a chance to get right in the mix with the wild card race. Arnie Stapleton from the Associated Press joins Sandy as well as our own Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey.
Sandy Clough starts off Tuesday’s show to talk about the latest from the QB battle at camp and who is making the progress. He also looks deeper into the RB’s. How many do we keep on the 53 man roster? Does Juwan Thompson’s versatility make him a lock?
With Ty Sambrailo out with an elbow injury, can rookie Connor McGovern step in and make an impact? How concerned should we be by Sambrailo’s injury? Sandy lets us know.
Arnie Stapleton from the Associated Press joins Sandy to talk about what he has seen so far from UC Health Training Center and which guys have caught his eye through 5 days. Arnie also gives his take on the QB battle and how he sees it playing out.
Sandy kicks off the second hour of the show to chat about the Rockies recent road trip and what they need to do continue their recent winning ways. He talks about what it is going to take to beat division rival L.A. Dodgers and the Miami Marlins. The bullpen and starting pitching will be key for a post season run.
With a day off for the Broncos, Sandy talks about the special teams battles and who he likes as a punt returner and the defensive line and the battle between Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett.
